Yoga not only claims to slow down the aging process, but consistent practice over the years provides tools to adapt to life’s constant demand to change. Resisting this change instead of embracing it, limits the amount of joy we can experience. The lifestyle yoga suggests of ethics, postures, breath work, deep relaxation and meditation cultivates a natural self-expression, a new freedom to let the light we have inside shine into the world.
Asana: Gabriel will teach a class of passive backbends, supported inversions and restorative poses that will regulate blood pressure, calm nervous conditions, and find a balance between anxious and depressed states. Today’s taking it easy practice is perfect for finding serenity when one is injured, tired, lazy, or ill.

Yoga strengthens the immune system conferring an inoculation against nihilism in all its forms. Living in a time overwhelm, chronic stress and strain saps our energy; a perfect recipe for getting ill. Because so much seems to be coming at us fast and furious, (which depresses our immune system), it is no wonder that we feel nervous and sick.

Yoga invites you to give yourself time to recover from threatening situations-real or perceived. Yoga builds up our immune system through restorative poses, breathing exercises and meditative focus. By increasing circulation and oxygenation in the body and brain, our whole self gets a boost of neuro-chemicals that ward off disease and simultaneously tranquilize and energize.
